A fine example of a school girl needlework sampler by Mary Ann Burton, depicting her handwork of animals, birds, figures of people and floral bouquets of flowers.
Alphabet sampler in excellent original condition silk on linen dated 1835 age 10.

Framed Under Glass; 18 inches x 18 inches square, on a mahogany chippendale style 19th century fireplace pole screen. Probably later addition 1880’s.
