Mahogany Ladies Writing Table, Attributed to Duncan Phyfe, NY Circa 1805.

The oblong top with reeded edge opening to a well with adjustable baize-lined writing surface fitted storage section with quill holder, the case above two drawers, fluted half-columns flanking on ring turned and reeded tapering legs ending in brass casters with original lions mask drawer pulls. A rare survival of this form.
