Mahogany period Sheraton design upholstered wing chair. The chair dates from the early 1st quarter of the 19th century (1800-1815) and is a rare survival for wing chairs made in this period. The front tapered turned mahogany legs with rear square mahogany legs comprise the support of the chair with pine and maple framing under the upholstery. Possible origin New York or Boston.
