CLASSICAL MAHOGANY WORK TABLE, PHILADELPHIA, 1815

Haines/Connelly School Fine classical carved and figured mahogany work table, having a hinged lift top section with interior compartments. Square case with four rounded ring carved columns, supported on a carved urn pedestal base, with four arched carved acanthus leaf legs ending in brass caster feet. Original unique cut lead crystal and brass rosette drawer knobs enhance the beauty of this fine table.

Circa 1810- 1815 Philadelphia Pa. Attributed to Haines & Connelly cabinet makers. The table descended in one family and was exhibited in the 1953 Catalog of Haines & Connelly furniture in Philadelphia Museum. A catalog is included with sale of the table from the family noting the exhibition.
